Paint Crew &
Paint Crew Plus
The Paint Crew
The Paint Crew utilizes a piston pump similar to larger contractor airless sprayers. You can spray oil and latex paints, primers, stains and clear coats with this sprayer. Great inexpensive unit for residential spray painting.
The Paint Crew Plus
Spray or Roll
Interior or Exterior
The Wagner Paint Crew Plus has the added option of rolling paint via the paint roller attachment.
Spray
You can spray paint where spraying makes sense, allowing for the high producton that only spraying can give you.
Or Roll
There are times and places where spraying will not work well - too windy, cars parked too close, too much masking off required etc....
Pressure rolling is the next best thing to spraying in terms of production. The Paint Crew Plus gives you the option of either spraying or rolling paint - the best of both worlds.
Refurbished Paint Crew Sprayers
Whenever they are available you can save money by purchasing a manufacturer refurbished Paint Crew sprayer. Check the links below to see if any are available at this time.
Portable Electric "Cup" Sprayers
Ideal for small projects like shutters, or a simple door or two. Much faster to set up and clean up than a full size airless with hose.

Spraying Latex Paint
Airless sprayers are different from "air" sprayers (like the HVLP or compressed air sprayer) in that they don't use air to atomize the paint, this allows the airless to sprayer heavier bodied paints better than air type sprayers.
Latex paint is a heavy bodied architectural finish that cannot be easily sprayed with some of the "standard" conventional ways. The HVLP sprayer does not atomize a latex paint very well, this produces a coarse orange peel-like look, or requires thinning in order to get an acceptable finish.
Airless sprayers are different from "air" sprayers (like the HVLP or compressed air sprayer) in that they don't use air to atomize the paint, this allows the airless to sprayer heavier bodied paints better than air type sprayers.
Airless sprayers force the liquid paint through a very small orifice in the tip of the spray gun under high pressure. This causes the paint to break up into fine droplets - or spray.
The airless sprayer will spray most standard latex paints without the need for thinning. This results in a good hiding coat of paint that often will cover the underlying substrate in one coat (providing the substrate does not need to be primed in the first place).
