Ladder Levelers
When using extension ladders for exterior painting (or for whatever use), you will quickly find out that the earth is not as smooth as your interior wood or carpeted floors are on the inside of the house. As you move the ladder around the house you will be continuously challenged to find good even footing for the ladder. I, for one, will not climb an extension ladder (or any other for that matter) unless I am sure the footing is secure and even. I don’t like climbing a ladder that is tilted because the ground is uneven, and neither should you.
You don’t have to compromise safety by rigging a makeshift level or by shimming underneath one foot of the ladder. The ladder leveler solves the problem of getting good extension ladder footing on most exterior ground.
Werner Level Master automatic ladder leveler
(The Level Master easily attaches to Werner fiberglass and aluminum extension ladders for even support on uneven surfaces)
I have used Werner’s automatic levelers on my Werner extension ladders for many years. I use my extension ladders with absolute confidence, knowing the footing is solid and even under my extension ladders. I would never, ever go back to using an extension ladder without these installed on the ladder. I give these a “six star” on a five star rating scale - they are that good.
How the Werner Level-Master automatic ladder leveler works:
The automatic levelers are attached (per supplied instructions from the manufacturer) using a few simple tools. These are not flimsy “add-ons”, stuck on with a couple of screws - I would not trust such an installation if that were the case. The Werner automatic levelers are heavy duty, safe, intended-for-real-use ladder levelers. I had no trouble installing the levelers whatsoever. Once installed they are intended to stay on permanently.
To use the automatic levelers you simply set the ladder down - straight - into place, the feet will automatically lock into place. The automatic levelers work by locking into place when weight is placed on the ladder feet.. Picking the ladder up (releasing the weight of the ladder from the automatic levelers) will unlock the levelers.
