Graco True Coat Features
The Graco TrueCoat is founded on the great tradition of Graco sprayers. For many years Graco has been a leader in the airless spray industry. The TrueCoat and TrueCoat Plus will not disappoint the most demanding customer.
The TrueCoat was designed to spray house paints without the need for thinning. One of the strengths of an airless system is that you can usually get one coat coverage with a good house paint and good airless sprayer.
Ideal for quick spray jobs, and small items where it makes no sense to use a full airless rig. No paint hose, or long set up and clean up procedure required with this hand held cup gun.
The weakness of many other hand held sprayers is that they do not have the ability to spray house paint - straight out of the can. With the TrueCoat, you will get proper atomization and good coverage and spray rates with most standard oil or latex paints or stains.
The TrueCoat is ideal for professional painters and DIY'ers alike. Pros can keep it on the truck (requires little storage space), for the occasional door, cabinet, shutter or other small project that does not warrant the use of the large airless rig.
Features
Reversible Tips
The reversible tip is unique among the hand held sprayers. The reversible tip allows the spray gun to be cleared of clogs by simply reversing the tip and triggering the spray gun. No need to remove the spray tip and clean it out manually.
Tip Filter
The tip filter prevents large debris from getting to the spray tip, helping to prevent tip clogging.
Disposable Cup Liners
Minimizes clean up time. Fits either 32 or 48 ounce cups; plastic, disposable cup liners keep the material cup clean.
Note: Do not spray flammable coatings or materials with the TrueCoat or TrueCoat Plus. See owners manual for more detailed specification and instructions.
Hand Held Airless Sprayer or HVLP?
Both systems come in a hand held, siphon tube, cup gun version. As a rule, the HVLP will give you a finer finish, but the airless with a fine finish tip or fine finish optimizer will do an adequate job too.
Use the hand held airless sprayer for heavier bodied materials like latex paints. You can also use the airless to spray non flammable oil based primers and paints too.
HVLP sprayers have a hard time spraying latex paints, but are ideal for thinner materials like oil based paints, primers and stains, shellacs, lacquers, and clear coats (varnishes, etc…).
The airless does not use an air hose, but does (as a rule) use an electrical cord. The range of the electric airless is longer than the HVLP, as the air hose will be limited to 15’ or 20’.
The control over the spray pattern is better with the HVLP. You can adjust the fan width with a twist of the cap. You can adjust the air or material volume to fine tune the spray volume and pattern.
Wagner Power Painters
Looking for a cheaper hand held sprayer?
The Wagner line of power painters (hand held electric sprayers) are the next best thing to a Graco TrueCoat sprayer.
Affordably priced, and equipped with the new optimus dual tip design for an improved spray pattern.
Upgrade to a Graco TrueCoat
hand held airless sprayer.
The problem with many hand held electric sprayers is that the paint needs to be thinned for spraying. Thinning makes one coat hiding difficult (if not impossible) to accomplish.
Getting an acceptable finish with thicker latex paints is also a problem that the TrueCoat sprayers have successfully solved. No more spitting and poorly atomized spray patterns.
The Graco TrueCoat family of sprayers provide a professional finish similar to a full size airless spray rig.
The TrueCoat spray system puts the whole airless rig - in the palm of your hands.
Quick to set up and clean up. No wasted paint in a paint hose. Quick color changes. Simple.
The Graco TrueCoat is a professional sprayer for the professional and demanding DIY'er
